Sharjah Taxi was established in 2008 as one of the subsidiaries of Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah. The service commenced operations with a fleet distributed across the Emirate of Sharjah, including its cities of Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al-Hisn.

The primary objective of Sharjah Taxi is to fulfil a range of goals that reflect its commitment to providing high-quality and innovative services to customers. This is achieved by ensuring that all users of the taxi service experience comfort and convenience, in line with the Emirate’s strategic vision to embrace sustainable, innovative, and forward-thinking approaches. Fleet of Sharjah Taxi:

• 590 City Taxis: Available around the clock in Sharjah city, Sharjah Airport, and the Eastern Region.
• 178 Airport Taxis: Operating 24 hours a day at Sharjah International Airport, these vehicles cater to arriving passengers, offering a variety of sizes to meet passengers’ needs.
• 4 Female-Only Taxis: Specifically designed to serve women and families, these family-sized taxis are located outside shopping centers and Sharjah International Airport. The service can be booked via the contact center at 600525252.
• 3 Accessible Taxis for People with Disabilities: These vehicles are equipped with specialized equipment to assist passengers with disabilities in boarding and alighting. The service is available 24 hours a day and can be requested through the contact center.
• Airport Taxi – 170 vehicles These vehicles operate 24 hours continuously at Sharjah International Airport, providing service to passengers arriving to Sharjah emirate though different sizes to suit the passengers’ need.
