Souq Al Jubail (SAJ), one of the projects of the Sharjah Asset Management, the investment arm of the Government of Sharjah, announced the reception of more than 600,000 visitors in the fish section, during the first quarter of 2022, in light of a large abundance and a variety of local and imported fish that suit everyone.The sales volume of fish in Souq Al Jubail during the first quarter reached 526 tons, as more than 287 tons were cleaned in the fish cleaning area, and 32 tons of fish were cooked in the grill section, which is equipped with the best international cooking equipment, and the highest standards of hygiene and quality, in addition to the availability of the latest global safety systems. Humaid Al Aleeli, Director of Hospitality Sector at Sharjah Asset Management, said: “The fish section in Souq Al Jubail is very popular with shoppers and market visitors, due to the variety of options it provides them with the finest local and international fresh fish, to ensure the provision of the best services that meet the desires of shoppers. Subject to the highest standards of hygiene and high quality.Al-Aleeli stressed that the fish market is working to provide various types of fish, according to the highest safety standards and general specifications, to meet the different tastes of shoppers and to find all they need under one roof, while providing the latest facilities and services needed by visitors, shoppers, traders and fishermen. The fish market is one of the most important attractions of Souq Al Jubail, where a place is allocated for selling fresh fish directly from sellers, and the grilling section includes a waiting area, an area for preparing and seasoning fish, and another that includes fish grills and ovens, and is equipped with high technologies for suctioning smells, central ventilation and air conditioning to provide an appropriate environment. It is comfortable and popular with shoppers, and the fish is subject to a health examination to ensure its quality and compliance with the best health standards, and there is a specialized staff from the Sharjah Municipality to ensure its compliance with the health requirements in force in the UAE.The fish section will receive its esteemed visitors during the holy month of Ramadan throughout the week from 8 am to 10 pm, taking into account the daily Iftar break from 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
