Sharjah views high standards vehicle inspection

The International Conference and 21st General Assembly organised by the international CITA Organisation concluded in Brussels, Belgium.

Held from June 8 to 9, Sharjah was represented by Ibrahim Al Houti, CEO at Sharjah Asset Management (SAM); Ahmed Al Mazmi, Director of Finance at SAM; Lt. Colonel Khalid Mohammed Al Kai, Director of the Vehicles and Drivers Licencing Department at Sharjah Police; and Lt. Col. Mohammed Al Mehrizi, Head of the Vehicles Licensing Department at Sharjah Police; Husam Al Shawi, General Manager of Tasjeel Centre – ENOC, and Rashid Gharib.

Tasjeel’s Operations Director stated that CITA is a nonprofit organisation based in Brussels, concerned with the requirements of vehicle inspection around the world. 

CITA’s members are represented by all continents of the world with the presence of representatives from the United Nations, European countries and the World Bank. 

It conducts extensive studies on road safety, and reviews all updates related to vehicles inspections, including electric, hybrid and self-driving vehicles.
